My testimony today tells about how I received the Holy Spirit. It was Palm Sunday of 1983 when I was determined to change my ways. I decided to follow my sister to church, Free Gospel Church of Christ that was located in Coral Hills, Maryland. I enjoyed the service and wanted to get prayer. The church was overcrowded, more than the 650 seats filled. Bishop Ralph Green decided to have an altar call. It had to be more than 100 people at the altar. This was confusing to me since I felt I may not get the pastor to lay hands on my forehead. Well, I found a space at the altar and began to feel God’s presence. Bishop Green laid hands on every person at the altar. Once he got to me he asked me had I accepted Christ and I said no. I had been baptized in Jesus name at age 11. I knew Christ was my Savior but I needed the Holy Spirit. Once he laid his hand on my fore head and told me to keep my hands up, I called on the name of Jesus. Then, I was instantly out! I don’t remember falling to the floor but it happened. This blank out turned into my healing mentally and spiritually. Once the altar worker helped me up, she whispered to me to speak His language, speak in unknown tongues. It happened instantly that set me free. I couldn’t believe I had been changed, I had been filled with the Holy Spirit! My God reigns and rules my life! This experience is out of the body, in another realm of being. Thank God for Jesus Christ being the Lord of my life! Alleluia!!!
